Mark Alan Born originated the Tidelog in the 1980’s out of his frustration of running around on the mud flats in San Francisco Bay.  Born published the Tidelog until 2011 when Pacific Publishers, LLC  acquired the title, moved the operation to Tybee Island and continued the Tidelog publication uninterrupted with the 2012 edition.

To help businesses promote themselves, in 1990 we also developed a smaller pocket-sized version called Tidebooks to boaters and mariners in the San Francisco Bay, Puget Sound and Southern California. Advertising with a Tidebook is a powerful and effective way to showcase your company name and services to the public, boating and marine communities.  Tidebooks can be customized for corporate branding and promotion of your company services and products.  Our in-house art department can assist in designing Tidebooks with maximum marketing impact.
